Cori works with kids, teens, and their families on anxiety, behavioral struggles, self-esteem, identity, and selective mutism — using play, creative, and conversation-based sessions tailored to each child.
Signature Modality
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a research-backed approach that helps your brain reprocess painful memories using guided eye movements — without requiring you to retell what happened in detail.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART often creates meaningful relief in just a handful of sessions. Clients regularly describe feeling lighter after just one.

It takes so much courage to acknowledge that you don’t have to do this alone. My commitment is to provide a therapeutic environment where I get to cheer you on, offer insight, and walk with you through whatever you’re carrying.
With 13+ years in social work, I help individuals and couples navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship struggles, life transitions, grief, and emotional overwhelm. My approach pulls from ART, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care — tailored to where you actually are.
Restoring fulfillment and hope is possible. Whether you’re working through the past or just feeling stuck, I’d love to help you feel grounded, empowered, and renewed.

CSW · 8 Years Teaching Background · Trained in DBT, CBT, TF-CBT & PCIT-SM
Before I became a therapist, I spent eight years as a teacher. What kept pulling me toward this work was the social-emotional side — the one-on-one conversations, the moments where a kid felt truly seen. Therapy had also been life-changing for me personally, and that’s what set me on this path.
I work with kids, teens, and their families on anxiety, behavioral struggles, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem, identity exploration, and selective mutism. Sessions are shaped around each client’s age and needs — sometimes conversation, sometimes creative or play-based work — with parents and caregivers brought in when it helps.
Trained in DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, and PCIT-SM, with concepts from play therapy, art therapy, ACT, and IFS.

Why Renewed Roots
Trisha specializes in trauma therapy using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an evidence-based approach that helps you heal in a more profound way than talk therapy alone.
Substance use recovery work explicitly includes family members — because healing rarely happens in isolation. We support both the person in recovery and the people who love them.
See Trisha in Layton or Riverdale — or anywhere in Utah via telehealth. In-network with most major Utah carriers, plus self-pay and clergy pay. We’ll verify your coverage before your first session.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a brief, structured psychotherapy that helps people resolve distressing memories and symptoms by reprocessing how those memories are stored in the brain — often in as little as one session. ART integrates eye-movement techniques with image rescripting to reduce emotional and physiological reactivity while clients stay in control throughout the process. Through ART, clients are able to erase negative images associated with memories, resulting in the elimination of corresponding triggers while preserving the factual memory.
