— How We Work

Who It’s For

If any of these
sound like you.

Individual therapy can help with the stuff that’s been building up — and the stuff you can’t quite name yet. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out.

  • You’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start.

  • You feel stuck in patterns you keep falling back into.

  • Anxiety is showing up in ways that interfere with your daily life.

  • Something happened that you’ve been carrying — and it’s still affecting you.

  • You just want things to feel better, and you’re ready for support.

What to Expect

A space that meets you where you are.

01

Judgment-free from the first session

You don’t have to perform or have the right words. Bring whatever’s there — we’ll work with it together.

02

Real tools, not just talk

Trisha uses evidence-based approaches — including ART for trauma — so you leave with practical ways to feel different, not just understand more.

03

Your pace, your goals

Therapy moves as fast or as slow as you need. We’ll check in regularly to make sure the work is actually serving you.

Working With Trisha

Calm, direct, and grounded.

Trisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in trauma therapy — including the use of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for clients who want to heal in a more profound way than just talk therapy.

She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use recovery. Her training also includes work with military service members and first responders.

Common Questions

Things people ask before reaching out.

Don’t see your question? Send us a message or call 801-550-9099.

  • Do you accept insurance?
Yes — we’re in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, DMBA, EMI, GEHA, HealthEz, HMHI, Medicare, Meritain, MotivHealth, Optum, PEHP, Select Health, Tricare West, TriWest VA, UHC, and UMR. Self-pay and clergy pay are also welcome. We’ll verify your specific coverage before your first session. For out-of-network plans, we provide superbills you can submit for potential reimbursement.
  • In-person or telehealth?
Both. You can see Trisha in person at our Layton or Riverdale office, or anywhere in Utah via secure telehealth — whatever works better for your life.
  • How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you’re working through and what feels right for you. Some clients come for a few months around a specific issue; others continue longer. We check in regularly to make sure the work is actually serving you.
  • What’s the first session like?
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. Trisha will ask about what brought you in, what’s been going on, and what you’d like to work toward. There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to.
  • What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s exactly what the free 15-minute consultation is for. You can ask questions, get a feel for Trisha, and decide from there — no pressure, no commitment.
