— How We Work

Who It’s For

If life feels
heavier than it should.

Anxiety and depression don’t always look the way you’d expect. Sometimes they show up as racing thoughts. Sometimes as no thoughts at all. Either way, you don’t have to wait until you’re at your lowest to reach out.

  • Your mind won’t stop racing.

  • Getting out of bed feels harder than it should.

  • You’re constantly worried about things you can’t control.

  • You’ve lost interest in things you used to enjoy.

  • You feel stuck, unmotivated, or just not yourself.

What to Expect

Practical tools, not just venting.

01

Real coping skills you can use this week

Therapy that gives you something to take with you — not just a place to talk, but tools that actually help between sessions.

02

A steady place to talk things through

No judgment, no rush. A space to make sense of what’s been going on and why you’ve been carrying it the way you have.

03

Guidance that meets where you are

Whether you’re functioning fine on the outside or barely getting through the day, the work starts where you are right now.

Working With Trisha

Calm, direct, and grounded.

Trisha works with adults navigating the full range of anxiety and depression — from low-grade chronic worry to acute episodes, from situational depression to long-standing patterns.

She uses evidence-based approaches and, when trauma is part of the picture, she draws on her specialty in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help you address the deeper roots, not just the surface symptoms.

Common Questions

Things people ask before reaching out.

Don’t see your question? Send us a message or call 801-550-9099.

  • Should I be on medication?
That’s a conversation for you and a prescriber, not a therapist. Trisha can work alongside whatever medication path you’re on (or not on) — and can refer you to a prescriber if that’s something you’d like to explore.
  • How long until I feel better?
It depends on what’s driving the anxiety or depression and how long it’s been going on. Some clients notice meaningful shifts in a few weeks; deeper work takes longer. We’ll check in regularly to make sure progress is real.
  • What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
That’s worth bringing up. Sometimes the issue is fit, sometimes it’s modality, sometimes the work just wasn’t right for that moment in your life. Trisha can talk through what worked, what didn’t, and what might be different here.
  • Can I do this online?
Yes. Anxiety and depression therapy works very well over telehealth — you can do sessions from anywhere in Utah, no commute required.
  • Is this CBT?
Trisha draws on multiple evidence-based approaches, including elements of CBT, but isn’t strictly cognitive-behavioral. The work adapts to what you actually need.
